Where can I check the updated IDD1609 charging rates?

updated IDD rates are published in this web-site in
IDD Rates section.
Are there any fixed or minimum monthly fee for IDD1609 service?
There is
no fixed or minimum monthly fee to use IDD1609 service.
How do you charge my calls? Any peak hour rate or non-peak hour rate?
The
charging rate is the same at any time throughout the year (i.e., Flat
Rate. No peak hour rate or non-peak hour rate). All charging rates are on per
minutes basis. E.g. if you call is 50s, you will be charged by 1min. If
you call is 2.53s, you will be charged by 3min.
Will you notify me if you change your IDD rate?
We will
announce any changes of the IDD rates as well as publish the revised IDD
rates at least 30 days in advance in this web-site in
IDD Rates section
before the effective date.
How come you can offer low IDD rate?
In order to
provide competitive IDD rates to our customers, we use advanced and
fully automated telecommunication management system to run the service,
hence to minimize all possible operating costs. However, we do provide
customer support service during office hours.
Apply
for IDD1609 Service
Are there any application
fee, registration fee or de-registration/termination fee?
There
are no application fee, registration fee or de-registration/termination
fee.
Any minimum contract period?
No
contract period.
How and when will I know
my application is successful or not?
We will
proceed to work on your application once we have received your
subscription form and all necessary documents (normal registration
process takes 1 to 2 working days). You will be notified by email or
tel. when the registration is successful.

Monthly
Statement
When will I receive my monthly statement?
Monthly
statement will be sent to you (by Email or by Post according to your
selection when registering the service) once a month, normally in the
first week of each month.
I am receiving my monthly statement by Post now. Can I change to receive
my statement by Email?
Yes, you
can always change your monthly statement delivery method. Simply fill in
the "Service
Change Form" and return to us.
Do you charge any service fee if I select to receive my monthly
statement by Post?
If you
select to receive your monthly statement by Post, a handling charge of
HK$5 will be charged per statement. There will be no handling charge if
you select to receive your monthly statement by email.
What information will be showed on my monthly statement?
Your
account information as well as details of your call information (such as
called tel. no., date and time of your calls) will be showed on your
monthly statement clearly.
Add or
Cancel Telephone Number
I am already an IDD1609 customer. What should I do if I want to add
other new tel. no. or to cancel the existing tel. no. under my IDD1609
account?
To add
new tel. no. or to remove or cancel any registered tel. no. under your
existing IDD1609 account, simply fill in the "Service
Charge Form" and return to us.
Are there any service charge if I want to add or cancel any tel. no.?
No.
There will no be any service charge if you want to add or cancel any
tel. no. under your IDD1609 account.
Make
International Calls
I have already registered IDD1609 service and have received your
confirmation notifying me that I can use the service now. How do I make
international calls?
Simply
use your registered tel. to dial ¡§1609 + country code + area code + tel.
no.¡¨
(If you are a Company User and PIN function has been activated, you will
need to enter "PIN" followed by "#" key after you hear the voice message
requesting for the PIN).
Why can¡¦t I make calls to some overseas tel. no.?
There are
many telecom operators in different countries around the world and
we
cannot guarantee connections to all telecom operators in all countries.
Others
Are you a licenced IDD operator? I do not want to subscribe a service
from illegal operator!
Yes, we
are legal IDD operator, licence given by OFTA of Hong Kong SAR
government (Licence no.: 1029). OFTA¡¦s web-site is
www.ofta.gov.hk.
Are you using Internet (VoIP) to connect my calls because VoIP does not
have good quality and most of the time calls cannot be connected as well
as calls will be disconnected suddenly!
We use
Premium Grade traditional telephone circuits to connect your calls. Therefore, our
quality is much better than services provided by operators using VoIP or
standard grade telephone circuits.
